What you will see

  1. 01Pick a tip amount (or enter a custom amount) on the checkout page.
  2. 02BTCPay opens an invoice priced at the live rate. XMR is the default; BTC is available as a secondary rail.
  3. 03Scan the QR or copy the fresh address into a wallet you control.
  4. 04Send from self-custody. Prefer XMR. If you pay in BTC, CoinJoin first — see Path C in the pay guide.
  5. 05Watch the invoice move to settled once the chain confirms. Same flow as a package invoice.

Privacy hygiene

  • Prefer XMR. Amounts and counterparties stay private on-chain by default.
  • If paying BTC, CoinJoin in Wasabi first, then spend only post-CoinJoin outputs.
  • Do not tip from a KYC exchange withdrawal straight to the invoice address.
