// NoteMajor Australian CEXs have delisted Monero. That is business policy under AML pressure — not a ban on owning or using XMR. P2P and self-custody remain the private path. We do not mix funds on our side — privacy work for BTC is yours, before the invoice.
How we take payment
Which rail you use depends on the offer. Acquire and custody steps (Paths A–C below) apply once you have an invoice or shop checkout.
- Stock GrapheneOS Ready. Fixed-price Pixel 10-series SKUs at shop.s3ct0rz3r0.io. Add to cart, pay on self-hosted BTCPay, then we source, flash, and ship. You get tracking when it ships.
- Custom GrapheneOS presets. Encrypt a brief via Contact. We reply with a fixed-XMR quote, then a BTCPay invoice checkout link by email or PGP. Custom presets are not in the shop cart.
- Black Box. Discuss, lock a written brief, then quote. First payment is a deposit invoice via BTCPay (checkout link by email or PGP). Balance follows the quote. Default deposit is 50% unless the quote says otherwise.
- Presence / Dark Store packs. 50% deposit at kickoff via BTCPay invoice, try the live build, then balance before full handover. Details on Pricing.
Privacy ranking
01
Best
Cash or in-person P2P, then self-custody. No bank memo that says “crypto.” Physical safety is on you — public place, daytime, small amounts first.
02
Strong
Haveno for AUD↔XMR, or Bisq / Peach for AUD↔BTC, over Tor where the client supports it. Escrowed P2P. Withdraw to a wallet you control.
03
Strong if paying BTC
CoinJoin in Wasabi, then pay the BTC invoice from post-CoinJoin outputs only. Weakens the link to your funded coins; still weaker than paying in XMR.
04
Acceptable
Buy BTC privately, then a non-custodial BTC→XMR swap to your Monero address. Faster if you already hold BTC. The swap sees amounts and timing; it should not hold your keys.
05
Weak for privacy
Full-KYC Australian CEXs. Fine for people who accept identity linkage. Not the path this page recommends.
Path A — XMR (preferred)
Wallet first, then acquire. Recommended wallets: Feather (desktop) orCake Wallet (mobile). Acquire AUD→XMR on Haveno (community clients such as RetoSwap or Dawn) — P2P, Tor, multisig escrow.
- 01Install Feather (desktop) or Cake Wallet (mobile) from the official site. Verify the download. Write the seed on paper or metal. Never screenshot it. Never store it in email or cloud notes.
- 02Create the wallet. Confirm you can restore from the seed on a second device or wipe-test before you fund it.
- 03Install a Haveno client (community builds such as RetoSwap or Dawn). Traffic should stay on Tor. Do not disable that.
- 04If the trade needs a small XMR security deposit, get a starter amount via a non-custodial swap or a trusted peer into this wallet first.
- 05Browse AUD buy offers (PayID / OSKO, or cash where listed). Prefer sellers with history. Start small.
- 06Take the offer. Escrow locks. Send AUD exactly as instructed. When the seller releases, XMR lands in the Haveno trade wallet — move it to Feather or Cake.
- 07When you receive a S3CT0R invoice, pay from that self-custodied wallet. Use a fresh subaddress for the send if your wallet offers one.
Path B — BTC, then convert
Use this if Haveno liquidity is thin or you already hold Bitcoin. Acquire onBisq or Peach, hold in Sparrow (and hardware for size), then convert to XMR non-custodially before paying us.
- 01Install Sparrow (desktop). For larger balances, prefer a hardware wallet (Coldcard or Blockstream Jade) with Sparrow as the watch/sign interface.
- 02Write the seed offline. Fund nothing until you have verified restore.
- 03Acquire BTC via Bisq (desktop, Tor; classic trades need a small BTC deposit) or Peach (mobile P2P; easier first buy; your bank still sees a PayID to a person).
- 04Withdraw to Sparrow / hardware — not an exchange balance.
- 05To pay us in XMR: use a non-custodial BTC→XMR route (atomic swap tooling such as UnstoppableSwap where available, or a no-account swap aggregator). Paste your Monero receive address. Send only what you intend to convert. Confirm XMR arrives in Feather or Cake before you close anything.
- 06Pay the invoice from your XMR wallet. Keep leftover BTC cold if you are holding it.
Path C — BTC direct (CoinJoin first)
Pay the Bitcoin invoice only after non-custodial CoinJoin inWasabi Wallet 2.x. That weakens the link between your funded UTXOs and the payment. It is not Monero-level privacy — Path A remains preferred. Advanced users may use JoinMarket instead; this path defaults to Wasabi for fewer steps.
- 01Acquire BTC privately (same on-ramps as Path B: Bisq or Peach into self-custody). Avoid funding Wasabi straight from a KYC exchange withdrawal when you can break that hop first.
- 02Install Wasabi Wallet 2.x from the official site. Verify the release. Keep Tor enabled. Create or restore the wallet and back up the seed offline.
- 03Send BTC into Wasabi. Enable automatic CoinJoin. Leave the wallet online until outputs show as private / meet your anonymity score target (the default strategy is fine for most).
- 04Prefer Pay in coinjoin to the BTCPay invoice address when available (hides change size and coin age from the receiver). Otherwise send a normal transaction using only post-CoinJoin coins — never mix unlabeled or exchange-sourced change into the same spend.
- 05Confirm the S3CT0R invoice settles on-chain. Leave leftover private UTXOs in Wasabi, or move them without consolidating against tainted coins.
Storing
- Self-custody only for funds you will spend with us. Exchange balances are not a wallet.
- Fresh receive address (or XMR subaddress) per invoice where practical.
- Seed on paper or metal, offline. No photos. No password managers synced to the cloud for the seed itself.
- Optional: a small “spend” wallet for invoices, separate from long-term cold storage.
- After CoinJoin, keep private UTXOs separate from exchange-sourced coins.
What not to do
- Buy on a KYC exchange and withdraw straight to our invoice address — that links your identity to the payment.
- Use a custodial “Monero app” or exchange that holds the keys for you.
- Use custodial mixers or tumblers. This guide only covers non-custodial CoinJoin (Wasabi).
- Consolidate CoinJoin outputs with exchange-sourced UTXOs in one transaction.
- Pay our invoice from a hot exchange balance after “mixing elsewhere” you cannot verify.
- Reuse the same transparent BTC address across unrelated counterparties when you can avoid it.
- Treat this page as tax, legal or financial advice. It is operational hygiene only.
// Disclaimer
- Swaps and disposals may be taxable (including CGT). Get advice for your situation.
- P2P PayID transfers can trigger bank fraud holds. Start small; keep records that protect you without oversharing.
- Cash meets: public, daytime, tell a trusted person where you are. Walk away if anything feels wrong.
- CoinJoin coordinators and tooling change. Verify official downloads and release hashes. Privacy from CoinJoin is probabilistic, not a guarantee. This is not legal advice.
- Clients and download URLs change. We are not your exchange and do not custody funds.
